IPMA SUPPORTS THE 2026 PORT VISIT PROGRAM

A Reflection of National Paint Industry Synergy in Supporting the Government Program

Surabaya, September 9, 2026 — The Indonesian Paint Manufacturers Association (IPMA) demonstrates its commitment to supporting government programs through contributions from IPMA members in support of the implementation of the 2026 Port Visit Program organized by the Indonesian Navy.

This support represents a form of synergy between the industry association, the government, and the Indonesian Navy in supporting the series of activities under the 2026 Port Visit Program, which carries missions of friendship, humanitarian assistance, and Indonesian diplomacy in the Pacific and Oceania region.

The 2026 Port Visit Program is carried out through a goodwill voyage aboard KRI dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo-991 to several countries in the Pacific and Oceania region. The series of activities includes courtesy calls, medical services, social activities, open ship events, educational seminars, sports activities, deck reception, cultural activities, as well as other public diplomacy initiatives. The program is expected to strengthen friendship and cooperation between Indonesia and the people of the Pacific and Oceania.

In support of the material requirements for these activities, IPMA responded to a request for support conveyed through the Ministry of Industry, particularly the Directorate General of Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Textile Industries (IKFT), by coordinating the participation of IPMA members.

The support was prepared within a relatively short period of time. Information regarding the support requirements for the 2026 Port Visit Program was received by IPMA on September 1, 2026. Following this information, IPMA, together with the Ministry of Industry through the Directorate General of Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Textile Industries (IKFT) and the Directorate of Downstream Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industries (IKHF), immediately coordinated through an online meeting on September 3, 2026. This coordination played an important role in ensuring that the requirements could be promptly addressed and that support from IPMA members could be consolidated within the available timeframe.

As the national paint industry association, IPMA regards this support as a form of institutional contribution and a reflection of the spirit of mutual cooperation among its members in supporting government programs. The coordination process proceeded smoothly and effectively among IPMA, its members, the Ministry of Industry through the Directorate General of Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Textile Industries (IKFT) and the Directorate of Downstream Chemical Industries and Pharmaceuticals (IKHF), as well as the Indonesian Navy/Integrated Port Visit 2026 Task Force.

Material Support from IPMA Members

Through IPMA’s coordination, material support successfully collected from IPMA members and formally handed over to the Integrated Task Force for the 2026 Port Visit Program included wall paint, metal paint or oil-based paint, and thinner.

The support covered the paint material requirements submitted to support the activities, along with other supporting materials. This reflects the readiness and commitment of IPMA members to respond quickly and concretely to the needs of the program.

Institutional Synergy and the Spirit of Mutual Cooperation

For IPMA, supporting the 2026 Port Visit Program is not merely a matter of providing assistance, but also represents a tangible manifestation of the association’s role as the national paint industry association in supporting government programs. Through IPMA’s coordination, the commitment and contributions of its members were consolidated into institutional support that can contribute to the successful implementation of the program.

The prompt response from members, their generous contributions, as well as smooth communication and coordination with government institutions and the Indonesian Navy were important factors in realizing this support.

Handover in Surabaya

Following the collection and handover process, the material support was subsequently prepared to be carried by the Indonesian Navy as part of the implementation of the 2026 Port Visit Program. The donated materials were scheduled to be transported on September 11, 2026, two days after the handover process in Surabaya.

All material support was formally handed over on September 9, 2026, in Surabaya. The handover was conducted through representatives of IPMA members based in Surabaya, representing IPMA, and was received by representatives of the Integrated Task Force for the 2026 Port Visit Program/the Indonesian Navy.

The handover was documented in an official handover record as part of proper administration and documentation of the support provided. With the completion of the handover process, the support from IPMA members can subsequently be utilized to support the requirements of the 2026 Port Visit Program.

Industry Contribution to National Interests

IPMA extends its appreciation to all members who provided prompt responses and tangible support in realizing their contribution to the 2026 Port Visit Program. This collaboration demonstrates that the industrial sector can play an active role in supporting government programs that hold strategic value for the nation.

Through synergy among IPMA, its members, the Ministry of Industry, and the Indonesian Navy, this support is expected to become part of a collective effort to benefit communities while supporting Indonesia’s mission to build friendship and cooperation with the international community.

IPMA believes that cross-sector collaboration built upon the spirit of mutual cooperation will further strengthen the contribution of the national industry in supporting the interests of the country and promoting Indonesia’s positive presence on the international stage.
